Hey There, I’m Erica, the CEO & Founder of Erica Marie Financials LLC!

After literally receiving a second chance at life, following a series of life-altering challenges in a short two-year period, and becoming a single mom to four amazing girls, one of whom has special needs, I was able to turn my lifelong passion for finance into the foundation I needed for a professional career and use it to chart a new and brighter path forward for me and my girls. I re-enrolled in college to earn an honors degree in accounting while also embarking on the journey of starting and growing my own accounting firm (Erica Marie Financials LLC was born!) and unleashing my own growth and profitability potential in the process.

Now I use my passion, expertise, and business experience to empower other ambitious female solopreneurs to break through their limits and unleash their own growth and profitability potential within their business. Together, we create and carry out a tailored and strategic approach to help them achieve their personal and professional financial goals.

If you’re up for the journey, allow me to take you back to where it all began. At 15, I was already diving into the financial world, helping my mom, an accounting assistant, with her tasks. A true testament to my lifelong dedication, which, along with my love for Harry Potter, earned me the proud nickname of the 'Hermione of Numbers' among those closest to me. Fast forward to a pivotal moment in my journey when I experienced a period of rapid growth in my firm that I had no idea how to navigate. Before I reveal how I made it to the other side of this new challenge, let me be real with you for a moment. Even though I have an honors degree in accounting, at the time, I found it extremely difficult to successfully navigate this period in my business. I quickly realized that I had a limit for the number of clients I could take on and still be highly effective at what I do. It got to a point that I was so overwhelmed and overworked that I barely slept trying to make sure that I gave each client my full attention and didn't make any costly mistakes in the process. Once I hit my lowest point, I did what I had been programmed to do from a young age, and started to overthink…a lot! I started second-guessing myself, my abilities, but, worst of all, I was not showing up the way I wanted to for my girls. I came to the difficult realization that there was simply no possible way for me to grow any further without either my clients suffering horribly, my girls suffering horribly, or me making a mistake that would mean the end of my business as I knew it and I'd be forced to find a J.O.B. and give up on my passion and vision.

One sleep-deprived night, I experienced my own "aha moment", much like the one I ask potential clients to share when they go to book a call with my firm for the first time, and I finally realized that this was not sustainable for me or my firm and that I would not achieve my vision operating this way. Enter the moment of truth for navigating this newer challenge… Rather than staying in my default mode, I decided to do the things I do best… I rolled up my sleeves and got to work crunching the numbers and crafting a plan. I figured out that I would need to hire someone to help me out with client work behind the scenes so that I had the time and capacity once again to continue growing my firm and work towards achieving my vision. During this process, I also realized that I was not charging my worth to even be able to afford to hire and decided to give myself my first raise ever by increasing my prices! After an initial adjustment period ensuring the help I hired was well-equipped to do the work I gave them, I was finally able to reopen my schedule and start accepting new clients. Spoiler alert...I hired my two teenage daughters and trained them to take some much-needed tasks off of my plate. My oldest became a bookkeeper in training and my second oldest became an administrative assistant in training. As a result of hiring my girls into my business, I have gone on to help many more solopreneurs since then and we're still going strong and planning to grow our team even further!

You know how ambitious female solopreneurs excel quickly, but soon feel buried under work and out of touch with both their personal and business finances? Well, I assist them to take back control of their finances, grow in a sustainable way, and achieve that sought-after work-life balance without adding more tasks to their seemingly never-ending to-do list.
